23/12/2010 - North Sea, Europe - 4 Ceilometers for Helicopter Operations on Oil Platforms
MTECH Systems has been awarded the contract to supply four ceilometers to support maritime weather systems on oilrigs for the North Sea. The brutal conditions in the North Sea require rugged and reliable cloud height sensors to ensure the safety of helicopter operations in challenging environments. Saltspray, Ice, Snow, Heavy Rain, Hail, fog and smoke are all conditions that these sensors are required to deal with on a daily basis. 20/12/2010 - Da Nang, Vietnam - New International Airport AWOS & RVR System
MTECH Systems has been awarded the contract to supply a fully featured AWOS and RVR system to Da Nang International Airport in central Vietnam. The Da Nang Airport is currently being upgraded to a international airport of the latest design. As such the customer required a world class aviation weather system to compliment their other ATC infrastructure investments and to provide a high quality of weather data to support the safety of their operations. Everything about the system is of the highest specification including the latest technology 5000-200-EMOR Transmissometers, single lens 8200-CHS ceilometers, ultrasonic wind sensors, frangible masts and latest generation opti-MET server and client software. Delivery and installation is scheduled for March 2011.

18/11/2010 - Erbil, Kurdistan - Upgrade to exisisting MTECH AWOS, RVR and ATIS Systems
MTECH Systems has been awarded the contract to upgrade the exisitng AWOS, ATIS and RVR system at Erbil International Airport in Kurdistan. The system to be upgraded was installed by MTECH Systems in 2006 and consisted of AWS sites at either end of the runway and 4 RVR sites. The central site equipment included central server and multiple touchscreen displays and workstations. The upgrade will make use of the of the exisiting infrastructure investment made by the customer and will support the customers commitment to becomming a truly world class international airport by upgrading key sensors for cloud, visibility and wind to the highest possible specification. 05/11/2010 - Taipei, Taiwan - Delivery Complete - 32 AWOS Systems in 6 months
MTECH has recently completed delivery of 32 AWOS systems to the Taiwanese Airforce within a 6 month period. The delivery consisted of 12 fully equiped AWOS systems and 18 tactical AWOS systems. The customer had requested a very short timeframe for delivery that other manufacturers in the Aviation Meteorology industry considered not possible. MTECH Systems has risen to the challenge and delivered on its promises with on schedule delivery of this very large project. Local installation of the equpment is also on schedule with completion expected by the close of 2010.

28/10/2010 - MTECH Systems opens new Cleanroom for Optical Sensor Production
MTECH Systems has further invested in its commitment to quality by building a new 800 Square Foot ISO 14644-1 cleanroom for the production of high specification opto-electronic sensors. The space will be used primarliy for the manufacture of 8200-CHS single lens ceilometer and EMOR transmissometer optics. The facility will allow for global best practice for opto-electronic production to be carried out whilst providing sufficient additional production capacity to handle future demands.

10/10/2010 - Vila Real, Portugal - Upgrade to exisitng AWOS System
MTECH Systems has been awarded the contract to deliver an upgrade to the exisitng AWOS system at Vila Real Portugal. The system upgrade includes sensors for CAT-I capability including visibility sensors, ceilometer cloud sensors, new wind sensors, dual AWOS servers and state of the art client displays for the ATC control Tower. Delivery of the upgrade is scheduled for completion before the close of 2010.

29/09/2010 - Seoul, South Korea - Successful Major Installation of 4500-LSS Lightning Sensors
MTECH Systems has sucessfully delivered a network of 12 high specification lightning sensors for installation in airfields across South Korea. The lighting sensors were chosen both for their unique standard feature of GPS time and location synchronization as well as their excellent value for money. MTECH systems has received an order consisting of two 5000-200-EMOR Transmissometers and two 8200-CHS Ceilometers. These sensors are the major weather sensor components for integration into a large International Airport ATM project by one of the worlds largest and most prestigious Air Traffic Management Systems Suppliers.

09/04/2010 - Seoul , South Korea - opti-MET Server sets new continuous uptime record
In June 2007 the MTECH Systems supplied Incheon Airport 3rd runway project with CAT-IIIB capable AWOS system software. At that time the software was accepted by the customer and put into full time service. At last customer contact in April 2010 the system was still running without failure from the initial acceptance date. This has set a new 24/7/365 uptime record of over 25,000 continuous operational hours for the software at one of the busiest airports in the world.

22/01/2010 - Taipei, Taiwan - Contract Award: 14 opti-MET AWOS Systems for the CAF
MTECH has been awarded a contract to supply 14 opti-MET AWOS systems to the Chinese Airforce for deployment into the countries main military airports. The full contract value is in excess of 2.4 Million USD and was awarded to the consortium of MTECH in partnership with a local prime contractor. The systems include RVR,  Cloud,  and Lightning  in addition to the usual sensors on airfield AWS units. This order included 18  fully compatible tactical weather stations capable of networking into the system. The system includes hot standby AWOS servers with SQL database weather data storage and web interface capability. The AWOS systems will be networked to a central site enabling the weather data to be collected and modeled in the systems central supercomputer. Project delivery is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010.
